WHISKEY Redbone Coonhound & Labrador Retriever Mix Lincoln, NE

Whiskey is a curious guy always searching for adventure. His favorite part of the day is play time. He enjoys playing with his toys but loves to play with his fur sister, Bourbon, most of all. He makes friends everywhere he goes with big dogs, small dogs and humans alike. He has never met a stranger. Whiskey even wants to play with cats although his feline foster brothers aren’t interested in playing with him. Once play time is over, Whiskey wants nothing more than the attention of his foster mom and dad. He doesn’t mind retreating to his kennel for the night as long as he has his blanket and his Kong. He is kennel-trained and knows to go outside immediately after getting out of the kennel. He is working on basic commands and does really well with “No” and “Come.” Whiskey loves his walks and does surprisingly well on a leash. He does not like to pull and he politely waits at all crosswalks for his foster dad to give him the all clear to cross. Whiskey is ready to be your adventure partner by day and snuggle buddy by night.

Whiskey is a Redbone Coonhound/Lab mix (our best guess of breeds), weighs 30 lbs and is 10-14 months old. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested negative for heartworm disease & given a Proheart injection for 6 months of heartworm preventative. Adoption fee is $350 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care. The FIRST step is to have you complete our online adoption application. All adoption appointments are scheduled after your application has been approved. We are a foster-home based rescue group and do not have a facility. We are 100% volunteer staff. All communication is done via email AFTER your application has been submitted. PLEASE be sure to answer all questions completely or it will delay processing, be sure to include vet phone#. Since all of our pets are in foster homes and not a facility, we hold adoption appointments once a week on either a Saturday or Sunday, during scheduled time period. We need ALL family members or those living within your home, to be present for an appointment. Preference is given to those with a verifiable veterinary reference and home ownership, although generally not required. Home ownership is verified through court records.
