Ivan Irish Wolfhound Mix Manhattan, KS

Ivan is around 5 yrs old, almost 70 lbs, neutered, up to date on all vaccines and preventatives as well as heart worm negative. His paperwork has him listed as an Irish Wolfhound mix although he looks to be more of a Setter mix. Ivan was on death row in a high kill shelter in OK and has been in foster care with us for the past 3 months. Ivan had some pretty severe health issues when we rescued him; missing hair on his back and legs, dental problems and other ailments. After several trips to the vet, a biopsy on his skin and some dental surgery, he is doing much better but is taking medicine to help with itching. Due to him not being neutered until we rescued him, he does still tend to "mark" inside, but it is getting better.

Ivan gets along with most dogs, cats as long as they don't run away from him and he loves all people. He is not a very playful dog, that is until he finds a tennis ball. He loves to lay around on the couch or a chair, sleep with you at night and just watch the world go by. If you're looking for a happy go lucky dog that is thankful to be rescued from death row then look no further!
