Meet STOOPS

Are you looking for a playful and cuddly pup? Then Stoops is the one for you! Stoops was recently introduced to toys and has finally figured out how fun they can be. He is getting very good at fetch. His foster mom states he also likes to play tug. He loves to cuddle up to you on the couch after a good walk. Stoops is smart and has quickly caught on to the sit and down command and waits for treats. He is currently taking classes with a trainer and is doing very well, he masters his homework usually in the first sitting. Adopters will be asked to finish his classes with the trainer. Stoops knows “stranger danger” so he would need proper introductions to warm up to new people. However, once he knows you’re a safe person he will want to be your best friend! He lives with other dogs in his foster home & would need proper introductions to new dogs. He is good while riding in the car, either looking out the window or taking a nap. Stoops is potty trained, kennel trained and sleeps through the night.

Stoops would love a fenced yard to run around & play freely in. He would do best in a home with no children.. He is still a puppy with herding instincts and learning the rules of being a house pet, but he is very smart and catching on quickly! At this time we also recommend no cats.

Stoops is a Catahoula Leopard Dog/Whippet mix, weighs 33.8 lbs and was born approximately 10-22-17. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested negative for heartworm disease & given a Proheart injection for 6 months old heartworm prevention. Adoption fee is $300 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care. The FIRST step is to have you complete our online adoption application. All adoption appointments are scheduled after your application has been approved. For adoption guidelines and to submit an application, please go to this link: http://dollyslegacyanimalrescue.org/adopt/ You will receive a reply from DollysLegacy@aol.com within a few days of application submission, please make sure to check your spam folder if you do not see a reply within a week. We are a foster-home based rescue group and do not have a facility. We are 100% volunteer staff. All communication is done via email AFTER your application has been submitted. PLEASE be sure to answer all questions completely or it will delay processing, be sure to include vet phone#. Since all of our pets are in foster homes and not a facility, we hold adoption appointments once a week on either a Saturday or Sunday, during scheduled time period. We need ALL family members or those living within your home, to be present for an appointment. Preference is given to those with a verifiable veterinary reference and home ownership, although generally not required. Home ownership is verified through court records. If you are a renter, you must provide landlord contact information. If you have any questions please email DollysLegacy@aol.com.
