Please welcome sweet Mama Florence. Yes that's right we named her and her two babies after the situation that they were abandoned and left to fend for themselves for weeks. Mama Florence and two puppies three months of age had chains around their necks and the Chain led around a tree with just a few feet to move around no food water or adequate shelter. After multiple reports to animal control by FEMA and the local sheriff and neighbors but no one responded to help these babies that were abandoned in a rundown trailer with no one living in it anymore or planning to return home. We single-handedly remove them and took them back home here to safety. They are now healthy and happy and ready to start a new life in a loving home that will never leave them in that situation ever again. We guess Mama Florence is anywhere between three and five years old she is a great great girl super loyal very responsive and has been getting along just great in foster care with multiple dogs. cats and new people. We would recommend a home for her that has matured children over 10yrs of age so they can communicate with her. . This lady's been through a lot in her life she does not do well with the chaos and stresses from little kids, also she is a Catahoula Heeler mix she is a herding dog breed so small children or not advised with these guys. So it's best we find a family that understands herding dogs characteristics. She walks excellent on a leash, she responds well to any training she has great manners and loves car rides. She loves to Fetch!! Knows all her commands!! Great on Leash! Fully housebroken and she's learning to appreciate the crate.
