Meet Max
**Meet Max. Max is a 5 year old blue mantle great dane who is the definition of handsome and loyal.
He is submissive with other dogs and gets along okay with cats - he doesn't really understand them. He tries to play with most of them and doesn't understand that he's much much larger than they are and their natural reaction is to flee.
Max can be leary of new people at first, particularly men, but he warms up quickly and once he trusts you you're golden. He looks to his human for guidance and approval.
Max comes to us with a bite history, which we do not believe was unprovoked. However, we do not take that lightly either. We just couldn’t allow him to be euthanized. For months he has been working with a very experienced foster and a veterinary behavioralist.
We believe he would make a great companion for a person or couple without kids. Because of his record, we do not feel comfortable sending him to a home with children. No exceptions.
But Max has a lot of love to give and would make an excellent companion for someone in need of a best friend.
Max is neutered, UTD on vaccines, chipped.
