Meet Dixon

Dixon was an owner surrender due to a job transfer to California. They were not able to find affordable housing that would allow a GSD. While they raised Dixon, they did a wonderful job training him! He sits, stays, lays down and will ‘leave it!’ on command. He has a unique take on ‘roll over’! It is a must see! He also enjoys playing catch, fetch, tug of war and KEEP AWAY.

Visit www.gsdri.org to fill out an application and learn more about our adoption process. Our dogs are all fostered in volunteer homes. Meets and greets are only available by appointment after the application has been processed.

All of our dogs are adopted as indoor house pets. No permanent outside runs or tie outs are allowed.
