Sammy Schnauzer & Poodle Mix Littleton, CO

Sammy is a 10 year old, gray and white poodle-ish boy. He weighs around 15 lbs. He was picked up as a terribly matted stray and he spent a few weeks in a shelter before coming into rescue. He has cataracts in both eyes, and may have had some nerve damage which cause his pupils to always be dilated. He is blind, but he gets around really well. He gets along well with other dogs in his foster home, and loves people attention. He would be a great reading or TV companion for a retired person in a quiet home. He is a quiet, calm guy. He goes outside and finds his way around his fenced area. He loves exploring outside actually and will cock his head while listening to the various sounds in his foster neighborhood. Sammy is definitely crate trained, and seems to be fully housetrained. Sammy is neutered, he is up to date on his vaccinations (rabies, distemper and kennel cough), vet checked, heartworm tested negative and on preventative while in rescue, and microchipped. Sammy has lost his remaining teeth while in rescue but he fully enjoys his moistened kibble meals.
