Scout isn’t big, he’s just a little Husky! Let us tell you about everybody’s best friend, Scout! This purebred chestnut Husky found himself lost out in the middle of a down pouring rain. Completely unamused that the rain was not snow, Dolly’s brought this handsome guy to enjoy the good life and boy was he excited for his first snowfall! What do we love best about Scout? Well, that’s a hard question with a lot of answers, but boy does this guy have personality! He has mastered the side eye and the smirk. Scout is not only handsome, but what a gentleman! He knows basic commands including shake (because that’s the polite way to say hello!). He happily meets his foster mom with a Husky Hug and loves his belly rubs! Scout is a typical Husky and loves to talk about his day. He sleeps in his kennel, is doing great at potty training, and has awesome leash skills.

Although he’s a southern gentleman, apparently nobody taught Scout basic table manners because Scout prefers to sleep on the outside table. In fact, Scout’s happy place is lounging on the patio table enjoying the fresh outdoors. But who can argue with a face like that. If Scout isn’t on the picnic table, you’ll likely find him on the porch swing just a swinging! Scout loves to play and gets along great with his foster bother, a Dolly’s Alum retriever! He’s been happy to co-exist with the cats in the home and is learning how to share his toys with the foster dogs. Scout is going to make someone an amazing family member. While we would love for his forever family to have experience with this breed, adopters who are willing to learn about the unique life of Husky ownership are encouraged to apply too! Scout is a purebred Siberian Husky with a rust & white coat, weighs 63 lbs (but gaining much needed weight, still has a ways to go) and was born approximately 8-13-14. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested negative for heartworm disease & given Proheart injection for 6 months of heartworm preventative. Adoption fee is $300 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care. The FIRST step is to have you complete our online adoption application. All adoption appointments are scheduled after your application has been approved. We are a foster-home based rescue group and do not have a facility. We are 100% volunteer staff. All communication is done via email AFTER your application has been submitted. Since all of our pets are in foster homes and not a facility, we hold adoption appointments once a week on either a Saturday or Sunday, during scheduled time period. We need ALL family members or those living within your home, to be present for an appointment. Preference is given to those with a verifiable veterinary reference and home ownership, although generally not required. Home ownership is verified through court records.
