- Vaccinations up to date, spayed / neutered, special needs. Blue is FIV+. FIV+ cats can live as long and healthy a life as non-infected cats. This doesn’t mean they will never become ill; they are, after all immunocompromised, so illnesses can be easier to catch and harder to fight off. They have the same needs as any other cat: high quality nutrition, a clean, stress-free, strictly indoor environment, regular veterinary visits, and lots of love. FIV cannot be transmitted from cats to humans.
- Good in a home with
- Children.
- Prefers a home without
- Other cats.
Petfinder recommends that you should always take reasonable security steps before making online payments.
Meet Blue (adopted)
Blue is a 3 year old "Russian Blue type" kitty with a gorgeous soft grey coat and lots of love to give! He is chatty, expressive and very affectionate.
Blue is a fantastic companion because he really loves human company and cuddle-time. When not relaxing in a sunny window, he will often follow you around the house, just to see what you are up to!
At night, he likes to sleep on the bed at your feet. Lots of meows will welcome you when you get home. We strongly suspect that he was a dog in another life!
He would be happy as your one and only house kitty or with another FIV-positive kitty, if introduced correctly.
Blue is being fostered in San Francisco. If you would like to meet him, please fill out our questionnaire here:

We make every effort to make the best possible match when placing our cats/kittens with new families. Once you submit an application you will be contacted if the particular cat/kitten you are interested in is a good match for you. Many times kittens have several interested parties and you will be contacted if/when a meeting is appropriate. Each adoptive homes is screened carefully, and a lot of support is given to make sure the adoption is a success.
When cats have a 'pending' banner, it means we are no longer accepting applications, and he/she will be placed in their forever home soon. Sorry we do not ship under any circumstances.
