Henry West Highland White Terrier / Westie & Cairn Terrier Mix Manhattan, KS

Hi, I’m Henry! I’m a West Highland Terrier mix, I’m about 20 lbs, and I’m around 3-4 years old. I am super excited when I meet people and I am a TOTAL sweetheart! I love to cuddle and have my belly rubbed.

While I’m good with dogs and cats, my past owner says I have issues with resource guarding (food, toy, and kennel aggression). I will need a home that is willing to work with me on this and teach me that I don’t need to protect everything that is given to me. I am working on it in my foster home now. Because of this, I probably would be best in a home without children under the age of ten or so.

I LOVE to run and run and run! I think I’d like a home with a fenced yard to run in, but I would be okay in an apartment too as long as I get opportunities to exercise. Because I am so anxious to run, I am not perfect with my leash manners just yet. But we are working on it!

My foster parents are pretty lucky because I am house trained and crate trained! When they tell me to go in my kennel, I go right to it. I don’t know many commands yet but I am willing to learn and I listen to my foster parents very well..

Our adoption fee is $200-- this helps pay for the cost to spay/neuter and keep them up to date on vaccinations and preventatives.
