Dory was an outdoor dog for awhile but is doing well in her foster home. She is extremely sweet and loving. She can be a little shy, particularly around men but she is a beautiful caring soul. She likes to be petted and is very smart and sensitive to the requests of her people. Dory is very chill and will be a great dog for anyone who wants an older girl with a little pep in her step, but who is perfectly willing to be a couch potato most the time. Dory still has a zest for life and while she may not be good at chasing squirrels anymore, she still gets excited and wants to check out the furry critters when she sees them on her walks.

Dory would do best in a household without young children. She is fine with other dogs, but her foster has noticed a tiny bit of resource guarding in terms of food with her dog, (though Dory has shown no food aggression towards people) but that is minimal and can easily be worked on. Dory does still enjoy a walk and loves to sniff and be outside.

Won't someone give Dory a comfortable, loving home for her senior years? She will thank you and give you an abundance of love and companionship.

You can save animals like this one by becoming a foster! Fosters are like way stations between high kill shelters and forever homes. We need fosters so that we can save dogs before they are euthanized at the shelters.
