Granite is a handsome GS mix who is approx. 1 yr. & 8 mos. old. He and several siblings and their mom were rescued from a neglectful situation. All of them had been kept as "backyard dogs" and were never socialized or taken care of. Granite was quite skinny when he first came to the rescue but he has been in a loving foster home where he is being taken care of for the first time in his life. He is learning how much fun a dog's life can be. Here is what his foster family has to say about him:

"Granite is a very sweet loving boy. Granite has been a great foster dog to take care of. He is a little shy. He loves to play with other dogs and will love playing with his forever family. He will do best in a home with another dog about the same size who he can play with. No small children and NO CATS. Granite loves to snuggle. He will need a patient adopter, someone who is willing to work with things he is unsure of. He will need some training, but other than that he is an amazing boy. We love him so much and he is a total love bug. "

PLEASE READ. Regarding the application processing fee: IDGSR requires that all applicants submit a $20 non-refundable application processing fee. Please note that submitting an application and fee does not guarantee that you will be approved or guarantee the adoption of any specific dog, since that dog may have other applications being considered.

Each dog's adoption fee varies depending on the age of the dog.
$300 for any dog 1 year and younger (PUPPY)
$250 for any dog 1-6 years (YOUNG & ADULT)
$200 for any dog 7 years (ADULT SENIOR)

All our adoptable dogs are up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing, monthly preventative, and have been spayed or neutered.

Everyone must submit an application before an appointment is made to meet the dogs. Dogs are introduced to prospective adopters BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.

All dogs are fostered in TN unless stated otherwise.
