READ MORE ABOUT LAMBO

Adorable doesn’t even begin to describe this handsome little man! Lambo is a 4 year old, Australian Labradoodle who originally hails from across the pond in the UK. Medium-sized at 40 lbs, smart, loving, comical Lambo came to America to join his beloved family and to make a positive contribution to Doodle society by participating in their highly respected and renowned ALD breeding program. After sireing many gorgeous puppies, Mr. Lambo is now officially retired from stud work and is ready for his new “furever” home and family.

Lambo is an incredibly smart, sweet and loving little man. We are told he loves to play fetch and to snuggle up with his peeps. He is good with other dogs and in fact, will need at least one other pup in his new home. He’s quite the ladies man and seems to prefer the company of females. He has a particular affection for his fellow ex-pat girlfriend/housemate Dora who also happens to be available for adoption! His Dad reports that Lambo can become nervous/anxious in certain situations but does not act out behaviorally in any destructive manner. It’s a nervousness he attributes to either the experience of a trauma during his travels from the UK, or something he may have experienced during his time with his original breeder. Reassurance and positive reinforcement seem to to the trick for Lambo. He just wants and needs to feel safe and does best in a calm environment. Lambo is a special little man and needs and deserves an equally special home and family of his very own.

Lambo has excellent potty manners and knows his basic commands. He may need some additional practice with his leash manners. He is accustomed to being allowed on furniture and having the run of the house and only homes that allow dogs on furniture will be considered. Lambo will need a calm environment and an active, doodle-savvy, ADULY ONLY home with a yard surrounded by a physical fence at least 4 feet in height. He would be happiest in a home where someone is around for at least part of the day and where he has a canine brother or sister or both for companionship. Lambo did tell us that a home with his honey Dora, would make him very happy. But he’s up for making new friends as well. This is a guy who would do well in a multi-dog household as long as everyone gets along and is courteous. Of course, formal introductions would have to take place. Lambo is neutered, micro-chipped and UTD on all vaccines and preventatives. He will be a wonderful addition to the right family.

You must be prepared for your dog to be an inside member of your family.
In most cases, a PHYSICAL FENCE IS REQUIRED in order to be considered for a DRC rescue doodle.

DRC Adoption donations typically range from: $300 - $600 and vary according to the age, health, temperament and location of each dog. Every doodle is an individual and every doodle has his/her own specific needs and requirements. Adopters are selected based on compatibility, NOT on a "first come, first serve basis. At no time does DRC ever put the desires of applicants before or above the needs and requirements of rescue doodles in our program.
