Sunchow Chow Chow Mississauga, ON

Sunchow is a 74lb red rough-coat neutered male approximately 2-4 years old. Sunchow was picked up as a stray...literally. He was dehydrated and suffering from heat stroke. If Animal Services hadn't arrived, he would have succumbed to the sun. Although he survived, he was still in danger as the shelter was full. His options were rescue, or euthanization. We had to act fast. A Merlin's Hope Volunteer and shelter staff worked together to keep him safe and ensure he had another chance. Upon arrival to rescue, our first impression was, what a Big Smiley Gentle Giant. We were right, he’s proving to be a big sucky bear. Sunchow has shown everyone he meets how grateful he is for saving his life, he even was a good boy at the vets. He accepts pets, ear rubs and even a bit of grooming. We're still learning about this boy, however we know he will sit when asked, shake a paw and he respects his handler. So far he's been a perfect house guest and will likely become another fine ambassador for the breed. Sunchow will be looking for a companion who can match his gusto...he is very strong... someone who enjoys walking and hiking as much as he does. He belongs in a home where there is a happy vibe so he can fit right in, relax and enjoy love, attention and the life he deserves. This boy does have a loud and intimidating bark and growl, he will protect his home and people so experience with the breed will be beneficial. This handsome boy is delightful and we look forward to following his journey.
