Meet Maxie
Maxie is a sweet girl. She would do great in a home as an only dog and if there were another dog that was not alpha/dominant we think that could also be a great placement. She loves being right there with her humans and when she is alone she can howl. Hence, homes only for Maxie unless you will rarely if ever leave her alone in an apartment. She should NOT be in a home with cats. She loves being physically close to her humans and honestly the BEST placement for her is in a home as the only pet, she really loves to be your one and only.
She is in foster in Olympia, WA. Please get in your application asap if you wish for her to be your new fur kid. She is a great dog, mostly very quiet. We dont see her as a dog with young kids pulling her tail and such, She's not your' nanny' dog in that sense of having a bunch of toddlers/infants crawl all over her I dont think?? but sweet and friendly with all humans we've seen her with.
She will be cautious if the dog is large and in her face and that kind of overwhelms her.
Have a laugh, we were told was a cocker doxie. I do think there is a bit of hound maybe a touch of beagle lol. The groomer thought for sure Cavalier King Charles Spaniel mixed with long haired dapple doxie! Lol dont waste money on a DNA test please donate that to a good rescue~ We are just saying we are clueless but she is somewhere in that genre we do really believe those are her breeds and a friendly sweet lovable dog. She will only howl on occasion if left alone too long. Dogs are pack animals. They hate being alone. Just saying she is potty trained uses the doggie door, taught herself that!!! However, although her size is an apartment size maybe she's around 18 pounds or so, she will on occasion howl when left alone, so no apartments/condos.
