Tansy (Una) American Eskimo Dog & Brittany Spaniel Mix Houston, TX

Tansy was a terrified stray found hiding under a car in 5 o'clock, downtown-Houston traffic.

•Spayed female, 20 lbs, ~6 years old
•Crate/leash trained, hops over baby gates, climbs, good house manners, rides well in car.
•MUST HAVE SOLID (not chain link, can climb like a monkey!), SECURE, HIGH FENCING! (Flight-risk and escape-driven: climbs, wanders, goes exploring)
•Excellent housedog, quiet, loves to be held, cuddled, snuggled on a lap-esp at bedtime or watching TV
•Polite in public spaces (vet clinic, grooming shop, pet stores)
•Gets along well with other dogs, mostly ignores cats
•Heart-worm positive (rescue will provide medication and subsequent testing for slow kill treatment)
•Grooming – thick, medium hair, curly - tends to tangle/knot easily. Very good for baths, brushing,
•Sweet and companionable dog, seems to like elderly people, wants to in constant contact with her person.

The adoption donation is $300, and includes a general vet exam, spay surgery, heartworm testing and/or treatment (as necessary), shots, microchip, and worming. Experienced dog ownership and credible vet references are required in order to adopt from HER.
