Meet Klay
If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate, but low-key new family member, Klay might just be the doggo you’ve been waiting for!
Klay is house-trained and crate-trained, has no issue with resource guarding, and is great at walking on a leash. With excellent recall and a love of learning, he knows his commands and would be happy to learn some new tricks! Mental stimulation helps him keep up his good behavior! Klay enjoys playtime and walks, but he also loves cuddling and relaxing with you, and belly rubs are his all-time favourite pastime.
You’ll find Klay is a well-behaved and balanced dog, chill, happy, and ready to play. He likes playing with other dogs, too, as long as they aren’t too forceful. He has a high prey drive for squirrels, chipmunks, and other tiny exciting creatures…. And he has selective hearing for anything you say as soon as he sees one.
Klay does well when he has clear rules and a human who can set them, or he may challenge commands. He would do well in a home with a doggo sibling (as long as they are also a balanced dog who is not too forceful) and with a human who is usually home, so he isn’t alone for longer than five or six hours. Klay’s foster family currently has him on a raw diet, and he would prefer to stay on it.
Klay is very good with kids, as long as they are also good with dogs. Klay is a wonderful young dog who would do best with an active family, as he enjoys lots of walks and outdoor activity. A backyard where he can run would be great too, so a home in the suburbs would be fantastic. Friendly, playful, and smart, Klay is definitely a catch
