Meet Maggie
Maggie is a spayed female, age: 8 3/4 years and weighs 36 lbs.
Daily Routine: Part of my daily routine is taking medication. I am a really good dog but I do have occasional accidents because of something called "incontinence". The medication helps with this. I am also working on getting down the system at home so I potty when I am supposed to.
What I love to do: I really enjoy walks with the other basset in my home. I'd really like to keep up but its hard. So I let my foster mom know when I am done. Or if I think she is headed in the wrong direction.
Personal goals: I enjoy a good bark but apparently that is something others do not always appreciate. I mean cats, dogs, people walking by, loud cars, motorcycles, you name it, I think it deserves to be acknowledged. But I am working on listening when told to stop (again, I don't see the problem, I've got this gorgeous voice, I should use it).
Favorite thing to do with my best friend: Oh, I really love to play with the young basset in my home!
Kind of family I want: I want a family with time to hang out with me and take me for walks, and realize I may be a little slower in life but I have a lot of living to do yet. Other furry and non-furry playmates would be great. I could do without the cats but we could probably learn to live together. Separation anxiety can cause me to have more accidents so I'd really just like someone to be home a lot.
Biggest fears: I was afraid of the resident cats in my foster home, those are some sneaky critters. But we are learning to co-exist.
Ideal weekend plans: I enjoy time with the human kids in my foster home. I enjoy being with my family.
