Kuro (Love Bug!) Shih Tzu & Brussels Griffon Mix Irvine, CA

Kuro once lived with a homeless man who would chain him to a shopping cart and drag him around the streets of Los Angeles. Rain or shine, this man would force Kuro to come along while he picked cigarette butts out of trash cans. When he needed money for candy and beer, he would instruct Kuro
to sit pretty at various freeway entry points so that he could beg drivers for spare change. Per a school crossing guard, he had been neglecting and exploiting Kuro in this manner for over a year.

TFPF tried to persuade the man to surrender Kuro so that we could give him a better life. He refused each time. It was only after Kuro was hit by a car and subsequently injured that he decided to give up his dog. He offered Kuro for free to the aforementioned school crossing guard, who then called TFPF to the rescue.

Kuro was treated for minor cuts and scrapes, and flea bites; he now has a clean bill of health. Kuro is two years old. He weighs approximately 15 pounds. He is an affectionate dog, always giving kisses and greeting new people with a wagging tail. Kuro loves to wrestle and play with other dogs! He has such a friendly disposition that he has been able to help us socialize all the shy dogs in our care. He has excellent manners and would do fine in a home with or without another dog.
