You’ve probably heard the phrase “don’t judge a book by its cover” and now we’re here to teach you “don’t judge a cat by its coat”. Rickety Cricket isn’t fancy on the outside but he has a shining heart of gold! This sweet boy was found as a stray and never claimed. It is clear he has been away from home for quite some time because when he arrived under Dolly’s care he was extremely dehydrated, dirty, matted, and underweight (so much so he had a large amount of excess belly skin drooping). Rickety Cricket was made for indoor cat life and he is living a life of luxury in his foster home. He adores comfy beds, catnip toys, cat trees, and of course, all of the pets and hugs and kisses a cat can handle (and believe us- he can handle a lot!). Rickety Cricket has the loudest purr and he loves being coddled like a baby. He has long legs and we’re sure he’ll be a big guy as he continues to put on weight. Rickety Cricket is such a lover; he gets along with all of his foster cat and dog siblings. Even when the grumpy resident cat voiced her disapproval, Rickety Cricket held his head up high and respected her wish to be left alone. He is really quite the gentleman! Rickety Cricket’s foster mom hugs him every day and tells him he can stay as long as he wants, but the truth is he needs a home of his own. Rickety Cricket isn’t a cute tiny kitten and he isn’t the most attractive cat in the room, but we promise if you make this boy a part of your family you’ll have the best kitty companion and you’ll be able to watch him heal and blossom with the help of your love.

Rickety Cricket is a Domestic Long Hair, weighs 11 lbs and is estimate at 10+ yrs old. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed. Rickety Cricket requires daily medication for his thyroid. Adoption fee is $100 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care. The FIRST step is to have you complete our online adoption application. All adoption appointments are scheduled after your application has been approved. Since all of our pets are in foster homes and not a facility, we hold adoption appointments once a week on either a Saturday or Sunday, during scheduled time period. We need ALL family members or those living within your home, to be present for an appointment. Preference is given to those with a verifiable veterinary reference and home ownership, although generally not required. Home ownership is verified through court records.
