Meet Jay
Meet Jay, a very sweet two year old Pointer mix who weighs 60 pounds. He will be the perfect companion for someone who is looking for a quiet, calm dog with good house manners.
Jay is crate and house trained and knows basic commands (sit, stay and place). He loves to go for walks and has great leash manners. He also interacts well with other dogs when introduced slowly.
Jay can be a bit shy when he first meets new people so he will need a family that is patient with him and understand that he needs time and space to become comfortable around new people. After Jay has time to relax, he transforms into a sweet, happy boy that wants nothing more than to be with his people. He eagerly gives kisses, is constantly wagging his tail and dances around his foster mom in the mornings when he comes out of his crate.
Jay is ready to find his new best friend.
If you are interested in adopting Jay please submit an inquiry directly with Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt.
***Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers and we require a home check for each of our adoptable pets prior to them going to their new homes, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family further than 60 miles from Charlotte is responsible for finding a representative of a rescue local to them that is willing to perform the home check. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to meet/pick up the pet as soon as the application is approved.***
