REMIE the TRI-PAWD! Foxhound & Hound Mix Lincoln, NE

Remie is an absolutely amazing dog. He has three legs but that has not stopped him yet. Remie has adapted well and can do most anything he wants. He LOVES to be petted and is perfectly content to just sit by your side and be loved for hours. He is great with children of all sizes and just loves they attention they give him. He is good with cats (ignores them) and dogs. Remie is house trained, kennel trained, walks well on a leash and is ready for his forever home (watch him walk on a leash here: https://youtu.be/YgINtH_PSzk)! The only recommendation is a home without a lot of stairs. He can do a couple of stairs at a time with no issues but struggles with a long set of steps. He would also do best with a secure fenced yard since he is a scent hound. Remie came to Dolly's Legacy when his elderly owner passed away and he found himself grieving and homeless. He is such a gentle & beautiful soul, we can't say enough wonderful things about him. Remie will move right into your home and into your heart. His eyes tell you how much love he has to give and would make a great addition to a family!!

Remie is an American Foxhound/mix, weighs 70 lbs and was born approximately 3-17-14. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed. Remie completed life-saving treatment for heartworm disease. He will need to remain on monthly heartworm preventative for life, as is recommended for ALL dogs, and retested in 6 months to ensure he is heartworm free. Adoption fee is $300 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care. The FIRST step is to have you complete our online adoption application. All adoption appointments are scheduled after your application has been approved. Since all of our pets are in foster homes and not a facility, we hold adoption appointments once a week on either a Saturday or Sunday, during scheduled time period. We need ALL family members or those living within your home, to be present for an appointment. Preference is given to those with a verifiable veterinary reference and home ownership, although generally not required. Home ownership is verified through court records.
