Meet Lucy Lu Lu
Meet Lucy Lu Lu! The sweetest dog ever. Lucy was relinquished to a high kill shelter in rural IL when her owner was placed into hospice care. This was a heartbreaking situation for everyone. Lucy has been grieving ever since she came to our rescue as it is apparent that she is truly missing her owner. She mopes around and has little interest in most things. She is so super sweet. We are doing our best to brighten her days!
Lucy is a chunker and could stand to loose some weight. We love fat dogs but- that is not super healthy, but super cute and she waddles! :) She is very timid and just likes to lay around and be with people. She is not shy but self protects herself by staying in safe places, like under a table of next to a door. She seems to feel most comfortable in a quiet setting. Lucy is not a fan of leash walking and would do best in a fenced yard.
Lucy is 5-6 years old. She weights 45 lbs and is a big ball of white fur. Her coat is in perfect condition and she loves to be petted and brushed. While in her foster home, she has been excellent with all other dogs, cats and children. She is completely potty trained. She is like a big white fluff ball who just wants to be loved and feel at home again. We adore her! You will too. If you like Eskie’s, this is could be your girl.
Lucy must of been feed table food a great deal. It was hard for us to get her to eat anything initially. We know appetites go down during depression, but Lucy’s teeth are filled with tartar so it appears she may if not been feed hard dog food. She loves meats and cheese. What pooch doesn’t? Lucy just had a dental and her teeth look great!
Her adoption fees are $400.00. Which includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, heartworm testing (all are negative) and on preventatives, deflea/deworming medications, and microchipping. If interested in adopting Lucy please complete an adoption application on our website cdlcanimals.org. Once applications are received, someone from our staff will get back to you within 24-48 hours.
Meet and greets for the puppies will be held by appointment. Our Adoption Center is located at 1325 S Main Street, Algonquin, IL, after applications are submitted. Thank you for your interest!
