Oakley Labrador Retriever Mix Manhattan, KS

Meet Oakley! She's a gorgeous two-year-old Labrador Retriever mix that weighs around 60 lbs.

Oakley had a rough couple of months. Her owner gave her to one of her friends. The friend had another dog and she fed the dogs together outside and one evening the dogs got in a fight over the food. She did not know who started the fight but when she went to separate the dogs, she said Oakley bit her. Oakley was surrendered to a shelter and served her bite quarantine time and was going to be put down shortly after until we stepped in. We couldn't let her die.

Oakley is such a sweet dog that wants nothing more than to cuddle with her foster family. She is getting along with her foster parents' male dogs and was tested with female dogs at the shelter and passed with flying colors. She is fed separately to prevent any incident as we recommend for any new dogs being introduced to a family. She is house trained and crate trained. She is very gentle with her movements and could do well with children. She has puncture marks on her shoulder and leg from the other dog biting her, so she has a couple shaved spots to heal the wounds.
