Alvin Weimaraner Mix Levelland, TX

ALVIN is a young male Weimaraner mix, possibly with some birddog ancestry. We think he is between 1 and 2 years old. He is underweight at about 35 to 40 pounds. He could stand to gain about 10 pounds. He is a generally pleasant dog. He enjoys walking on the leash, either by himself or with another dog. He should be fine in a home with other dogs. Should be good with children. He is short-haired and will not tolerate cold very well; he should at least be brought in the house during winter nights and colder winter days. He should have good shade if he is left outside in the summer. Like all dogs, he would enjoy spending time indoors with the family after work and school. He is healthy and friendly and just waiting to make someone or some family a great pet.

The shelter is generally open from 9 AM till noon 7 days a week but arrangements can be made to see the dogs and cats at other times of the day. All our dogs are vaccinated for Parvo, distemper, Bordetella (kennel cough) and most other common dog diseases. We do not vaccinate them for Rabies. There is no adoption fee, but the adopter will be responsible for having the dog spayed or neutered and for the Rabies shot.
