Where did you meet TAPS? Los Angeles County Shelter
How old are you? I am 12 years old!
Tell us about yourself! Mufasa joins his family at TAPS, as we believe he is the father of this incredible crew of Ragdoll/Birman kitties we have so been enjoying caring for! But his story has not always been a pleasant one; fortunately that changed today! You see, 12 years ago, he was a little kitten, loved and cared for, taken to the vet to be microchipped so if he was ever lost, he could find his way back home. But his owner never cared enough to even register it, and instead he was used to breed. Now, 12 years later, he found himself at a County Shelter, used up and owner surrendered, matted, discarded, and without a lifeline out. Shelters can be a harsh place for older kitties. But fortunately for him, we would NOT let THAT be the end of his story! Now he is safely reunited with his children, receiving a lifetime of love, as much as we can possibly give him! And one day soon, his story will be even happier, when that special someone comes in to Operation Adopt and sees him for the beautiful soul he is and decides to give him the happiest chapter of his life yet, one filled with companionship and love. The happy ending he never even imagined existing in his small world of hopelessness, and now it is right around the corner! That is our Purple Collar Promise to this sweet Daddy! All TAPS animals are spayed/neutered, current on age appropriate vaccinations and microchipped before they go to new homes because that's the responsible way to keep them all safe.
To adopt one of our animals, the first step is filling out an adoption application at www.tapsusa.org Please make sure you get a confirmation that your application has been submitted.
We only adopt to LOCAL HOMES in City of Burbank and other adjacent communities in the immediate vicinity because we utilize our volunteer force to process home visits. Photos of your home, letters of reference are not acceptable which is why we only adopt locally. Only in very rare circumstances do we adopt out of area. Examples of this would be finding the perfect home for a senior animal or one that has other special needs that we have not been able to place locally for an extended period of time.
