Max - Adoption Pending Labrador Retriever & Wirehaired Pointing Griffon Mix Woodbury, MN

Max is a 4 year old Lab/Wirehaired pointing griffon mix who came to us because he needed a loving forever home. He was living outside in a pen during the day and in a garage at night. Max is a very sweet boy - he's shy at first but he warms up. Max needs to be with at least one other dog in his new home. He's doing well on his housetraining, but all dogs will need a refresher when moving to a new house and routine. Max has some energy, so best with an active family, and he would love a fenced in yard to be able to burn off some of that energy safely at home. Max needs a family who is willing to work with him on obedience training. He has the potential to be a great dog once someone can take some time to teach him some new things. Max is neutered, up to date on all vaccinations, and microchipped. Please reach out to his foster!

Our fosters do the best they can to provide all information about the animal's background and temperament while in foster care in their home. An adopters routine and home environment is likely going to be different than that in their foster home. Sometimes there is more that comes out about a dog's personality once they have been able to settle in a home and truly become comfortable. There are great articles out there written about the different stages a pet goes through after adoption, discussing transitions that happen at 3 days, 3 weeks, and 3 months. We highly recommend reading about this - it will help you understand the transition your new pet goes through.
