Willie is a gentle big boy who was owner relinquished. He is 1-1/2 years old. He is microchipped, neutered, fully vetted, housebroken and knows some basic commands. He arrived May 5, 2018. His adoption fee is $100. Questions can be answered by calling the office at 706-865-4135.

The approval process can take 1 to 3 days and for anyone traveling a distance to meet a dog/cat, it is suggested that the process be done first so that the applicant will know if they are approved to adopt. Each of our residents is loved and nurtured by our staff and volunteers during their stay with us and each is placed with same due diligence that they would be given if they were our own family members. All approved adopters must come to the shelter and accompany their new family member on the journey home. We do not ship nor do we transport.

Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter which provides quality care, spay/neuter-all vaccines, deworming, vet exam, standard disease testing and for dogs-monthly heart worm prevention treatment. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted. Resident animals are primarily owner relinquished and also accepted from local Animal Control. The facility usually is operating at capacity with a list of animals waiting for space to open.
Adoption hours are Tues-Sat 10-4 and Sun 1-4.
