Winston Labrador Retriever Knoxville, TN

Winston is an ADORABLE Silver Labrador. He was born Feb. 15th and his parents are pictured above. Winston and his siblings found themselves born to a man with no regards to their wellbeing. The parents had been kept in the kennel pictured above their entire lives. When Winston was 6 weeks old, he was one of 3 from his litter who was sold by their owner on Craigslist for $400. Luckily for the rest of the furry family, a good-hearted neighbor reached out to the owner and asked if she could help find the others homes. Another local rescue took the remaining puppies and parents and got them to safety. Poor Winston was already gone when the rescue came to get his siblings.

By some miracle, a volunteer of ours saw him on Craigslist and recognized him immediately. Come to find out, poor Winston has been tossed from bad home to bad home since leaving his mother at only 6 weeks. Luckily, we were able to secure him and get him into a foster home to wait for the family he DESERVES!!

Winston is high energy but extremely smart. He mastered sit in less than an hour and does well in a kennel for a puppy. He barks for a while but soon settles down and sleeps until someone comes home. We would love to see him in a home with a big yard and an active family. Please do research on Labs before applying for adoption- this breed is not for a low-energy home.
