Meet Athena
Athena is very shy at first. She was lost for a long time and spent the first month with us in hiding. She is now allowing hugs and kisses, but is still unsure. Once she knows you won't hurt her she is a different girl and believe us, she is worth waiting for! She seems to get along with kids but is slow to warm up to adults, preference to women. We think she is 4-5 yrs old. We have been unable to determine if she has been altered. It will take a lot of love and patience to fully bring her around, but this is for sure, she will be one who will give lots of unconditional love, because she needs it so much. Athena is smaller than she looks, long and short, about mid calf heigth. About 25 lbs. She is turning out to be one of the best we have ever had. A total love bug, and loves belly rubs! You really have to meet her to appreciate what she is.
