TIPPY [cc#6499] Munchkin & Domestic Medium Hair Mix West Orange, NJ

Tippy (named for her tipped hear) was found in an extra large carrier abandoned near a bus stop. Everyone was sure there would be someone coming to claim this cat. After all, who wouldn't notice they had this gigantic carrier one minute, and then nothing the next. So we waited, and we waited. No one called. No one came. So now we have Tippy, waiting for a home.

We thought perhaps Tippy was part of a Trap/Neuter/Return (TNR) colony, but she is much too friendly to truly be a colony cat. Our best guess is that Tippy had somehow gotten lost, and found new friends. In a TNR colony there is usually a caretaker bringing food daily, so being lost and without a home Tippy may have decided to stay.

The town vet was able to tell us Tippy is a female, and the tipped ear tells him she's spayed. He listed her as an adult, so we really don't know how old she is. She's a mature cat so we're figuring a few years old or so. And, he gave Tippy her rabies vaccination.

This is a truly gorgeous cat! The more we look at Tippy, the more we think Munchkin or Munchkin Cross. Tippy's front legs are short, and the back leg are longer. And, the more we look at Tippy the more we think this cat is slightly cross-eyed. Hmmm, makes a very interesting looking cat, and well worth a trip to the shelter to check her out!
