***ASHLYN IS ON HOLD PENDING ADOPTION 2/12/19*** Hello, my name is Ashlyn. I am an 8 year old spayed female tricolor Sheltie. I have been in foster care for 3 months working on my weight loss. I came into rescue 45+lbs overweight, and my foster mom has been diligently working on my diet and exercise to make sure I can live a healthy life. So far I have lost 25lbs, and my adoptive family will need to continue to work on my weight loss under the care of a veterinarian. I also have a condition called paw pad hyperkeratosis. This means that is looks like hair is growing on the bottom of my paws! This is not dangerous for me, and can be managed with creams and nail trims. I really don't like anyone messing with my feet, so you should be very experienced with grumpy Shelties or diligently take me to the vet for this. I don't bark much and love to hang out with my family. I am a low key girl and like to lay at your feet. I'm housebroken and great on a leash. I like meeting new people and riding in the car. My favorite pastime is chasing squirrels in the yard! I would prefer a home as the only dog or maybe with another easygoing female. I have a history of picking on my brothers in my foster home.
