6 month old Parson Russell terrier puppy. 14 inches at the shoulder. Born deaf.
Remi is 90% house-trained - he still needs a belly band inside the house on a just in case basis - and we are working on crate training, something the original owner did not do unfortunately. Remi walks very well on leash, knows several hand signs, and gets along extremely well with other dogs. He is a good car traveler. Like all adolescent puppies, he chews and explores and can be destructive if not monitored. He responds well to positive redirects.
The ideal adopter will have deaf dog experience, lots of positive reinforcement training chops, and one or more big, friendly dogs to wrestle with Remi pup ALL day long. No apartments, no small children. Secure fencing a must.
This is a very affectionate bright pup who processes new information quickly. He was started poorly and has some occasionally vocal separation anxiety (thus the struggle with crate training), but he will come along quickly in the right setting.
