Meet TANK
Hi, I'm Tank. I have been in doggie foster care since May 2018 and I just can't seem to figure out what I am doing wrong. I try so hard to please my foster humans every day. I wake foster mom up every morning so remind her to feed us(and that I need to pee), I walk politely on my leash, I try to be a good big brother of my fur sister and play with her every day, even several times a day. I befriend all dogs at the dog park, I do not discriminate from big, little, male or female, they are all my friends. I worry other's will find me scary so I am submissive to show my kindness to other's. I make a great prop of yoga, especially if I just have to lay on the mat with you. I am even respected enough to be elected the captain of the squirrel patrol in my neighborhood. I just love being around my foster humans and fur siblings. I have even gone on road trips with them and found out I enjoy traveling. If I could speak to humans I would tell them- I would love a home that I could spend all day with my owner whether it be at home or at their work. I would succeed in a home that doesn't have to leave me home alone for 8 hrs while they are at work and one that is more on a the quiet side than the chaos side. I like kids and get along with all ages.
Tank is a German Shepherd, weighs 75 lbs (but gaining!) and is approximately 5 yrs old. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed. Tank is undergoing life-saving treatment for heartworm disease. He will need to remain on heartworm preventative for life, as is recommended for ALL dogs, and retested in 6 months to ensure he is heartworm free. Tank also has moderate hip dysplasia and will benefit from joint supplements. Adoption fee is $250 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care. The FIRST step is to have you complete our online adoption application. All adoption appointments are scheduled after your application has been approved. Since all of our pets are in foster homes and not a facility, we hold adoption appointments once a week on either a Saturday or Sunday, during scheduled time period. We need ALL family members or those living within your home, to be present for an appointment. Preference is given to those with a verifiable veterinary reference and home ownership, although generally not required. Home ownership is verified through court records. If you are a renter, you must provide landlord contact information. For adoption guidelines and to submit an application, please go to this link: http://dollyslegacyanimalrescue.org/adopt/ You will receive a reply from DollysLegacy@aol.com within a few days of application submission, please make sure to check your spam folder if you do not see a reply within a week. We are a foster-home based rescue group and do not have a facility. We are 100% volunteer staff. All communication is done via email AFTER your application has been submitted. PLEASE be sure to answer all questions completely or it will delay processing, be sure to include vet phone#. If you have any questions please email DollysLegacy@aol.com .
