MY AGE: approx. 3 yrs (Birth 3/12/15) WEIGHT: approx. 25 lbs.

MY STORY:
Bella was purchased from Petland in June 2015. The purchasers were told she was an AKC registered Brussels Griffon-Boston Terrier. There are no AKC papers, and she is basically an adorable but ‘expensive mutt’. They surrendered her and we have been asked to rescue her because of her owner’s poor health.

Bella has made such progress in 4 months. Shows how much time and patience can bring about a dog. She knows 'sit', 'down', 'paw', 'stay' (with some limitations because she's so excitable) lol. She has learned to take turns and wait her turn with her dog siblings. She is an incredibly happy girl, who has lots of energy. She's always down for walks and play time, but will also stay all night cuddling next to you in bed keeping you warm this winter. She loves her chew toys and antlers and Himalayan chews, anything that she can chew.

She has learned to tolerate our older dog but she has absolutely fallen in love with our puppy. She's a great older sister, it's must be that motherly instinct she has as a girl. It's a world of difference between strange dogs she meets on walks vs the pup. She'll let him climb all over her and take her toys without a whimper. We definitely think she should be a one dog household because of her history with other dogs, but also because she's just a princess and she deserves to be spoiled. She is so loyal and so full of love, she'll be all the energy a family needs. As well, we believe Bella should be in a home with previous dog experience. She's very very very smart and strong willed. She needs an owner with confidence who can show her who's the parent and give her the security she needs to feel safe and stay relaxed. We definitely believe her anxiety from the previous owner is what caused a lot of the butting heads with other dogs.

This dog does shed and is not hypoallergenic.

ADOPTION FEE: $450 includes a $50 training deposit that will be refunded once confirmation of obedience classes is received.

Our dogs are located in foster homes throughout the state. We do not have a facility. Adopters must be 24 years old.We can not adopt to families with children under the age of six. We also adopt in WI, IL, and parts of MN. Most of our dogs are strays, so the breed is our best guess.
