Scooter Beagle & Hound Mix Ossining, NY

Adorable little long eared beagle-y mix Scooter is just as handsome as they come. He’s got a white luxurious coat with splashes of brown/brindle spread throughout. When Scoot walks, his ears flop up and down almost like they have a mind of their own! Such a hound doggie!

Scooter was brought into the shelter with his buddy Sassafras however they are not bonded and do not need to go to a home together. It seems like wherever these two came from, they didn’t have many life experiences so a lot of these New York sights and sounds are new to them. After being here for a few weeks, Scooter’s confidence has grown exponentially! When he first came, coming out if he crate without a doggie friend to follow was difficult for him...now he pops right out and is ready for adventure! With or with support from a canine companion.

Scoot is learning what a car is, what walking down a busy street is like, meeting MANY new human and dog friends.. he even met Chaps the cat the other day! In true hound fashion, on walks Scooter often has his nose to the ground tracking some very enticing scent, he never walks too far without checking in with us though. He makes eye contact and is very eager to please... he’s also SUPER cuddly!

Scooter is wonderfully crate trained.. he loves having his own, comfy space that he can be safe in.

Scooter is a fabulous little hound mix that would love an active, child free home so he can continue to blossom! Come meet him, you’ll fall madly in Love just like we did!
