Meet Nia, the World Traveler

Meet Nia! She's a 1-year-old Akita/Anatolian Shepherd mix who is, believe it or not, a world traveler! She was originally rescued from Iran as a puppy and brought to Washington for a second chance. She's sweet, silly, and playful, and has proven to be a star participant in our dog playgroup program.

Nia is about 68 lbs. and can be a bit shy and fearful around new people. She has a genuine sweetness about her, and once you know her, that side starts to show itself. Nia greets a little intensely on leash, but when off, she LOVES to play with other dogs!

She has a complicated history, so we will be looking for an adopter with dog experience who is willing and excited to help Nia blossom at home. If you're interested in this staff and volunteer favorite, please ask our adoption
advisors for more information!

PLEASE CONTACT SEATTLE HUMANE SOCIETY DIRECTLY to inquire about this dog. Nia has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and behavior-tested.

She will go home with a certificate for a complimentary veterinary examination and an identification tag.

PLUS, most dog adoptions include 30 days of pet insurance from Trupanion and a training rebate when you complete a dog behavior course - a great way to start off on the right paw!

Nia will need an adult only home. Resident dogs are required to visit Nia prior to adoption.

PLEASE CONTACT SEATTLE HUMANE SOCIETY DIRECTLY to inquire about Nia.
