Meet Otis-ADOPTED
Otis is a handsome Pit Bull mix. He is super affectionate. His favorite thing is to nap next to humans on a bed or a couch (preferably under a blanket). He loves his soft blanket, his Kong toy (especially if some peanut butter is inserted), and his nylabone. Otis likes to go on walks and chewing sticks in the yard. He is house trained, up to date on vaccinations, and neutered. He loves car rides and is very calm and quiet on rides and enjoys having his head out the window. He is very obedient. He does not bark when the doorbell rings. He loves people, getting hugs and giving licks. He will step into the tub if invited and let you wash him without any problem.
Great with people, kids and dogs he knows. Otis gets excited around new dogs and so requires a slow introduction. It took 1 day for Otis to get used to our dog and now he is completely calm and they play together. When I am on a walk with Otis and a strange dog is barking at him, he can get excited unless I divert his attention by calling his name with treats. Otis successfully completed obedience training in May 2018. He has improved markedly from the class and can improve more as you work with him to divert his attention when other dogs are barking at him.
