Meet Alpine Litter Boy, Bristol!

The Alpine Recreation Litter was born in a loving foster home on January 16, 2018 to Zaya, who was pregnant when she arrived at Red Waggin Rescue. Zaya gave birth to six healthy puppies -- four males and two females -- and will remain with her litter until they find new homes starting at approximately 8 weeks of age (March 14th 2018). At the time of adoption, all puppies will be weaned, microchipped, and will have received their first vaccine.

The foster family donated a DNA test on one of the puppies (Hoodoo), which revealed Zaya, the mother, is a cross between a purebred Alaskan malamute and a purebred Siberian Husky. Hoodoo's father is a mix between a purebred American Staffordshire terrier and a Great Pyrenees mix breed, but because a single litter can have multiple fathers, it is possible that DNA tests on puppies other than Hoodoo would yield different results for the father's ancestry.

The litter is being raised as pets, receiving a lot of attention from adults, children, dogs, and cats. They will be familiar with crate training and introduced to a house training schedule, but will need adoptive families to continue crate and house training. Zaya, like most malamutes and huskies, has an intense prey drive, and will chase cats. Adoptive families who have cats in their homes should expect their puppies will likely require additional training around interactions with feline friends.

BRISTOL (Male) Still available

A playful and loving boy, Bristol actively seeks human interaction and snuggles. Bristol looks to be the identical twin of his larger brother, Stevens. While their personalities differ, both boys have super fluffy, dark coats, with white feet and chests. Bristol will have a typical malamute/husky undercoat as an adult, which requires additional grooming. Bristol will likely be 70 - 100 pounds when full grown.

This pup is currently in a foster home near West Seattle, and the rescue will require an APPROVED APPLICATION to be completed to meet this litter.
