Watson thinks that 10 is the new 5 in dog years. He is youthful and peppy, but is also a quiet and polite guy around the house. His foster mom says he doesn't do a thing wrong. This handsome, freckled faced boy is a perfect combination of youth and maturity! Watson has been well cared for through his life but sadly, his owner's ill health forced his surrender to HART.

Watson will sit politely when he would like some attention. He's even been known to sneak into a lap now and again. He loves to nap in a sunny spot during the day and sleeps soundly through the night on his dog bed near his humans. He isn't crazy about being in his crate but his foster mom is working on making the crate a positive experience and gradually increasing the time he spends there.

Well mannered and good with both dogs and cats, Watson has all the makings of an easy going forever family member. He prefers to be around his people so he needs a family that is home more often than not.

He would be better suited to a household with a canine brother or sister as he gets lonely and could have destructive tendencies when left alone without a canine pal for company. He'll join in and bark with the other dogs in his foster home when they make a ruckus, but he's generally quite quiet. When he does bark though, it is very loud. If you've ever heard a Beagle bay you will know what we're talking about. For this reason he would be best in a detached home, no apartments, condos or townhomes. He loves food and a good cuddle but isn't crazy about being picked up -- he'll give a beagle bay to protest! He knows basic obedience and walks well on a leash. He loves the car and is ready and willing to go if you're going!

Watson is fully housetrained. He requires a fully fenced and secure yard. He could be suited to a home with children who were respectful of him. Low key and low maintenance, Watson may be the perfect addition to round out your family. He would like nothing more than a chance to show you just how lovely he is.

An adoption donation of $350 applies and a fenced yard is required. Watson is neutered, up to date with his vaccines, microchipped and in good health. He also comes with one month of free pet insurance. He is approximately 10-11 years old and weighs 35 lbs.

Pet listings are updated daily. Unless it says otherwise at the top of this bio, this dog is still available for adoption.
