Rio is a 7 year old Labrador Retriever mix. He is the definition of chill, enjoying relaxing in the house or having a cuddle. Rio loves hanging outside and particularly enjoys rolling in the grass.

Rio would do best as an only dog. He is curently working on his other dog friendliness. A fun time for Rio is playing with a squeaky toy, chewing on a bone, going for a car ride, or hanging out in the park. He is a very intelligent dog that knows what he likes and has his own mind. He is a gentle and funny guy who is happiest when his foster parents are with him. He lights up when visitors come to the house and loves outings to new places and meeting new people..

Rio had an old break in his leg when we rescued him. He had surgery to correct this and is currently going through rehabilitation to strengthen his leg again. This does not stop him from getting around just fine and once he is healed he can go on the longer waks that he really wants to. He has a beautiful, shiny coat that he is happy to have groomed. If you are looking for a sweet, easy going dog, average energy dog who loves the company of people then Rio may be the boy for you.
