Meet The Boys Meet World Gang!
These kids were all saved from rural South Carolina in a high kill shelter. With little hope of rescue or adoption we stepped up for 6 lives. After beginning the vetting and getting them healthy enough for travel with our awesome SC team members help they made the journey up to PA! All strays from the community where roaming dogs are a daily occurance and seldom looked for by "owners" these kids had a rough start. But now they have a bright future where they will become beloved family members. (Edit: Angela actually came as a stay from north Carolina)

Angela. I don't know what the past of this sweet angel was like but, sadly I suspect it was bad. She is terried of everything. It was heartbreaking to see her original posting with her missing hair and description of her timid but kind nature. They also mentioned she was warming up to her handlers. Oh when she arrived, it was a pitiful sight. This poor soul was so shook up from the move and new surroundings she was completely shut down. And while she is still timid and fearful every time something new happens, she HAS become very comfortable with her direct handlers. Her foster mommy is her security blanket and when she is with her it's so endearing to see Angela's confidence grow. She is much friendlier with new comers and outgoing. When her foster leaves she is much more fearful defensive and unsure of new people. Her progress had been steady and impressive.

What I see is a dog with very low confidence but clear signs that she is capable of improving. She forms bonds and gains confidence rather quickly. This will probably never be your bark park dog. She would be happiest in a quiet home with a mature family. Little kids I think would make her nervous. She s never shown any aggresion really but I think she's most suited to a couple or family with mild mannered teens/ young adults.
I believe she d do well with another calm mild dog possibly as well.

She is a really sweet girl who needs someone who wants to adopt a true rescue. Someone with patience and a focus on positive based training.someone who understands this is a marathon not a sprint. This 23lb 3 year old lady has a long life ahead of her. I can see her a year from now being a perfect companion living carefree with a loving family. Where she would finally know she was safe and home at last!

Update: Angela recently went on a home trial! Sadly she came home but ONLY because she was barking when they left the apartment. The neighbors complained and the landlord said no. But the girls lived her and said that she was GREAT! She did way better then expected and bonded very quickly. She lived the companionship of being in a family and had it not been for the complaints she would have been home! This is sad and also great feedback that Ange la is going to be ok. We just need to find her person!

Our adoption process is so simple! We do a meet and if you initially like the pet we take a $100 deposit and start a home trial! During home trial you will live with your pet and get to know them in the real world for a true window into what life with them will be like. If it's a perfect fit then we finalize!! We sign the contract and receive the remaining $400 balance. Your fee includes alter surgery, microchip with lifetime registration, and up to date Distemper and Rabies vaccinations. Bordetella vaccination upon request. Deworming and fecal exam. This also covers the transport from the mid south, south, Puerto Rico, or any shelter or location to our facility, as well as any care we provided from intake till adoption!
