Journey Schnauzer & Terrier Mix Sawyer, ND

Not sure what she is other than CUTE! This is Journey! Journey was found astray and heavily pregnant. She delivered and raised her beautiful puppies at rescue and now is ready for her forever home. Her pups have all found their home and she has been stuck in rescue with little adoption interest for OVER TWO HUNDRED DAYS (200)!! WHY? She isn't a very large dog and only weighs around 40 lbs and has the cutest scruffy face. When Journey came to rescue she was showing signs of dog intolerance being pregnant, then with puppies to protect, etc. In the last 200 days we have been working with her with leashed walks alongside other dogs, etc and she now exercises in the playpen with others and LOVES TO PLAY!! She is making huge leaps with learning how to act around other dogs (we don't think she was around them much) and with an experienced guardian to continue her training and help her learn proper behaviors, she will continue to improve. She loves people, loves attention, and is desperate for a home. She would also do great as an only pet. She does well on leashed walks as well with the other dogs we have walked with and in the playpen with other large dogs. We have no small dogs at rescue at this time to test with so that is why we say medium to large dogs as companions. If looking for a smaller, wirey, lovable pup to be your companion, Journey is your gal. All residents are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and treated for any other known medical needs. Breeds cannot be guaranteed. Fence is required if a yard is present.
