MY STORY: I have had foster dog Toby a few days and he has truly amazed me! He is an extra nice little gentlemanly dog. A very quiet and laid back guy who does not get into mischief at all. He mostly just plods around the house and finds a place to rest and relax. Once in a while he will get a playful spurt and zoom around or pull on a rope to play tug or play fetch. He tries to get my two dogs to chase him but neither is the best at being playful as they are older.
Toby had a reputation for barking at people he does not know and yes he may do this and then again he may not. He never barked at me when he arrived and although he did bark a few times at my husband... after "just a couple days" he now LOVES my husband and is waggy tailed and leans up against him and gets so many pets!!! The key is go slow and just show Toby you are not out to harm him! If you give Toby some high quality treats he changes his tune very quickly! (A way to a dog's heart is through yummy treats!)
Toby loves to go on walks... not necessarily long walks but just a walk. He has a bounce to his step and he never pulls on the leash. Toby also loves to go bye bye in the car. I put him in my dog car seat and he is on cloud 9! He enjoys checking out the silly Robin who is building a nest in our fenced yard and he also joins my two terriers for bunny patrol.
Toby does well for brushing and he has long flowing soft "hair" that parts down his back. His face is soooooo smooshy and we think he looks like a fuzzy wuzzy caterpillar with his long body. I admire his awesome cuteness every day! Oh, btw, I have seen very very very little shedding. How fabulous is that?!
I do not have little children at my house and Toby would most likely not be the best fit for little people. His perfect home would be with people who are looking for a dog to bond with them, hang out and be their best friend! If you are in need of a BFF consider my sweet fuzzy wuzzy!

Our dogs are located in foster homes throughout the state. We do not have a facility. Adopters must be 24 years old.We can not adopt to families with children under the age of six. We also adopt in WI, IL, and parts of MN. Most of our dogs are strays, so the breed is our best guess.
