Meet Rowdy

Rowdy is a higher energy (hence his name- we assume) sweetheart of a man. He is a bit shy at first, give him a couple of minutes and he will come up for attention and beg for your interaction. Those first couple minutes he’ll act like, what staff affectionately calls, a “chicken butt” and bark and back away from you. After that he is the happiest fella you ever did meet. He is genuinely…chronically…happy.

Having lived his whole life around other dogs, he will acclimate most quickly to a home with other dogs (he looks to other dogs for guidance of what to do and how to do it.) He should be fine as an "only child," but his new family should expect to put in a little more work with adjusting to his new home. Rowdy at one time lived with a cat as well and has ignored our office cats completely. Staff doesn’t expect him to have any issues with cats either. He isn’t a fan of car rides- no motion sickness just stressing to him, but that should go away over time as he gets practice with it.
