Itty Bitty Chihuahua Mix League City, TX

Itty Bitty got her name because she is . . . . . . . well, itty bitty. She only weighs 8 pounds and she is 5 years old. So she won’t be getting much bigger.  She was born approximately on 06/29/12. She is a solid black, female Chihuahua. For the first 5 years of her life she has lived with a lady who is now elderly and very ill. She is not able to take care of Itty Bitty any longer. Even though it breaks her heart to give her up, she wants to do what is best for Itty Bitty. The lady is pretty immobile so she sat much of the day and held Itty Bitty all wrapped up in a blanket because she is so little she is often cold.  So if you have mothering instincts and want to give lots of love to this cuddly little cutie, Itty Bitty would love to come and live with you. She is a slight bit shy but she bonds very quickly with new people. So if you’re looking for a loving lap dog – Itty Bitty is your girl. She wants to be right next to you all the time. Even though she cries a little when you leave her, it is only for a few minutes. She was used to sleeping with her previous owner every night but she has adjusted very quickly to sleeping in her own bed with her new doggie friends at her foster home. Her former owner was unable to take her outside because of her physical condition so Itty Bitty is very good about going potty on pads in the house. But now that she is in her foster home, she has discovered the great outdoors. She loves to go outside and investigate all that is in the outside world that she has not been able to see until now. She is very smart and with a little patience and repeated trips outside each day, she will pick up this pottying outside thing quickly.

She gets along well with other dogs and cats. She has never been in a crate and probably would not adjust very well to one. Itty Bitty’s eyes are sensitive to smoke so a cigarette-free house is important for her. She would also do better with children who are age 8 or older. Since she is such a people-loving dog, she will be happiest if someone is at home with her most of the time.

Adopter for Itty Bitty must reside in the immediate Houston/Galveston area and be at least 25 years old.  A home visit may be required prior to this dog going to any home.   

Itty Bitty’s adoption fee is $175.  

Adoptions are held on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Clear Lake Petco, 2410 Bay Area Boulevard. The adoption fee starts at $175. All dogs are microchipped, on heartworm protection, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed and treated for fleas. Please come visit with us on Saturday!
