Meet Sarge
Meet Sarge!
Sarge was surrendered to ADORE by someone who kept him chained in the middle of the front yard with a dog igloo (that had nails protruding from the inside) and no shade. His water dish was algae infested and weeks old. Because of the conditions he was kept in, Sarge is heartworm positive. Don't worry, ADORE gets him treated and heartworms are NOT contagious to people or other dogs. Sarge is a total sweetheart and despite his past, he loves people. He is such a handsome and happy boy now that he knows what air conditioning is and he gets plenty of love and attention. Sarge did well on his dog test but has not been tested with cats. Since Sarge is not in a home, we can't confidently say he is house trained but he is a fast learner.
