Meet Newman #5
Newman #5 is an 8 year old male, black lab who weighs approximately 65 lbs. Newman loves to be with his family, he loves to sunbathe, and go for long walks and car rides. He is extremely lovable, likes belly rubs and likes to snuggle. He is completely house trained. He knows basic commands and walks well on a leash with a harness. Newman is great with kids of all ages and dogs that are medium and large in size. He does not like small animals of any kind (cats, squirrels, etc.). A fenced-in yard would be ideal to avoid these distractions. Newman has a lot of life left in him and even more love to give. He is an exceptional dog with a wonderful temperament. Newman was placed as a puppy at a drug and alcohol rehabilitation halfway house for homeless military veterans. He quickly became the center’s "house dog" with the important job of bonding with residents during their recovery. He is a great dog and he deserves a wonderful home.
