Maya Chihuahua Franklin, MA

Hola! I am Maya. Guesstimated to be 8-9 years old, I still have a lot of pep in my step. I am a petite little gal of 14 lbs. Sadly, I recently lost my mother. She went to heaven and left me behind. I know she didn't want to and that she is up there watching and hoping that someone will take me in and love me the way she did.
My mother raised me well. I have excellent house manners. I only bark to announce arrivals. I like all people, although rambunctious children scare me a little. I am fine with children who have been taught to approach dogs slowly and quietly. I like men and women , cats and other dogs as long as they behave themselves. I don't like aggressive dogs. My mother taught me some really cute tricks. If you tell me to get my dish,I will bring it to you. If you tell me to get my necklace I will go and fetch my leash. Pretty smart, if I do say so myself.
I walk nicely on a harness and leash, am fully housetrained and love rides in the car.
Up to date on all my vaccines, microchipped and spayed, I am ready for the next chapter of my life. I am negative for Heartworm but did test positive for Lyme disease. I am on a 30 day course of antibiotics but then I should be fine.

An adorable, sweetie is what my foster mom calls me. She thinks anyone would be lucky to call me their own. Come meet me and see if you agree.
