I'm Miss Posey, or Posey for short! I'm a 3.5 year old purebred Norwegian Elkhound; I'm healthy, up to date with shots, spayed and ready to find my forever home. I was picked up as a "stray" in a northwestern suburb of Chicago and my owners did not come to claim me. The wonderful lady who became my foster Mom says that I did not spend any time on the street, and I am in great condition. It was clear that I was loved and cared for, I even had some training. I wasn't well socialized with dogs, so I can be a little growly with other dogs and don't like them in my face or playing around me (I act like the "fun police"). I should also tell you that I have a strong prey drive, so you can't have small animals & I have not been tested with cats... but I think I would love to chase them!!

I have been tested with kids and I do love them a lot; my foster Mom says that they need to be older than 8 years, 'cause I'm too energetic for infants or toddlers.

I love to snuggle on the couch next to you, I love to be petted and have my back and belly rubbed!! I am very playful with some toys, though I don't share well. I'm beautiful and loving, and I would prefer to be the only dog, and the center of your world! Are you out there??? If so, contact my foster Mom today!
